The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer at Rhode Island College.
The Office of the Provost is the central administrative hub for the Division of Academic Affairs. The provost, in partnership with the College’s dean and administrators, is responsible for maintaining high standards among students, staff, and faculty. The Provost serves as the College's chief academic officer.
The Office of the Provost works collaboratively with academic leadership and members of faculty to sustain a culture of excellence in the College’s:
to promote student academic growth and student success.
The Office of the Provost oversees various academic policies, procedures, and manuals. The office serves as a gateway for academic committees, search committees, and faculty committees. Additionally, the office is tasked with conferring awards upon distinguished faculty and staff.
